YMCA NON-SCHOOL DAY PROGRAMS
The Los Cerritos YMCA offers a non-school day program (following the BUSD schedule) at our main facility in Bellflower when school is out! Your family can count on the Y to ensure your child is having fun in a safe, nurturing environment.
PROGRAM DETAILS
Child Care Operation Hours: 6:30 am - 6:00 pm
Activity Hours: 9:00 am - 3:30 pm
CHILD MUST BE IN ATTENDANCE BY 9 AM!
DAILY SCHEDULE
- 6:30am–9:00 am - Drop Off, Activities in classrooms and Outdoor Recreation
- 9:00am–9:30 am- Morning Snack (Provided by Parent)
- 9:30 am-3:00 pm- Group activities: Stem, Culinary, Art, Outdoor Recreation, Rockwall, Archery, and Team Building
- 12:00pm-12:30pm- Lunch (Provided by Parent)
- 3:00pm–3:30 pm- Afternoon Snack (Funded by the USDA in partnership with the California State Department of Education)
- 3:30pm–6:00 pm- Parent pick up, Activities in the classroom and Outdoor Recreation
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Our rate is a flat rate of $300/weekly or $60/day* when available.
- Child does not need to be enrolled in our After School Care program to enroll in non-school day programming.
- You MUST register BEFORE the deadline through our website or in person. REGISTER EARLY! All registrations will close one week before the scheduled Non-School Day. After registration closes, a waiting list will occur.
- Camp Docs must be 100% COMPLETE for the child to attend the program.
- If you are on a third-party agency- Our Admin team must have all documentation of approvals by your agency (we do not accept copies of paperwork from the parent) to move forward with your registration.
- Medication: If your child requires YMCA Staff to administer medication the medication must be provided in its originally packaging and with a parent signed “Authorization to Administer Medication” form.
- Lunch Policy: Children must have lunch with them upon arrival. If a child arrives without lunch, a parent must take the child to get lunch before the 9:00 AM drop-off time. Otherwise, the child will not be allowed to stay. Please note that we do not accept lunches delivered by parents, Uber Eats, DoorDash, or similar services.
- Late Arrivals: Children must be in attendance by 9am or they will not be able to stay for care. We may accommodate late arrivals only in pre-approved circumstances such as an appointment.
- NO ELECTRONICS AND TOYS ARE ALLOWED IN OUR FACILITY.
