BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CHILDCARE


Our Before & After School Childcare program offers a safe and nurturing environment for children’s education before and after school. We offer homework assistance, reading, arts & crafts, physical education, and unique activities. Our dedicated staff is committed to helping children build self-confidence, develop character, unleash their creativity, and become the leaders of tomorrow. We provide daily transportation for students in grades TK through 8th via our Y Vans.

All Childcare program sites run in alignment with the LBUSD school schedule. Vacation Fun Days and Day Camp options are available when school is not in session. For additional information, click the link HERE. Please note that we do not prorate.

Our standard rates reflect the entire school year, including vehicle transportation, minimum school-day accommodations, and parent-teacher conferences. Separate registration costs apply for our Day Camps and Vacation Fun Days. For more information, click the link HERE.

THIRD-PARTY

Please follow the steps below regarding third-party payments.

  • Agency participants will not be allowed to start our program unless a current certificate outlining the service hours is on file with the Academic Enrichment Administrative office. Third-party is only available at our Los Altos Family YMCA and Naples Elementary School sites. 
  • Once a certificate is received, the caregiver must make an appointment with the department to schedule a time to register in person. 
  • All fees not covered by the third-party agency will be the parent's responsibility. If we have not received your certificate, please email it to Christine.Fries@lbymca.org.

 

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Please follow the steps below regarding financial assistance.

  • Please complete the entire financial assistance application. Incomplete applications will not be considered. When completed, the requested documentation must be attached to the packet or email.
  • Make an appointment to review your financial assistance application. Call 562.596.3394 to make an appointment. 
  • Each application takes a week or two to review. We receive a lot of applications, so please be patient.
  • While you wait, contact the Children's Home Society or Crystal Stairs beforehand to see if you qualify for subsidized care. We work closely with these fantastic programs, and they are here to help as well.
  • Financial assistance applications must be completed for each program. Applications do not carry over into other programs such as day camp, swimming, youth sports, or membership. You must complete a new financial assistance application for other program inquiries.
  • Once you are approved for financial assistance, we will manually apply it to your account, and you can proceed online with registration.
