Stevenson YMCA Community School
The Community School is a national model program focusing on involving families and resources both in school and after school to help children do better academically and socially. Community Leadership Institute - parents go through leadership training, learn advocacy for their children's education and how to better their community, volunteer in school, learn job skills, take classes in ESL, computer training and more.

Y-Adventure Guides - Parent/Child Programs
The purpose of this program is the encourge the development of strong family units and provide opportunities for involvment in the community while promoting the YMCA values of caring, respect, honesty, and responsibility.
* Have fun and make new friends.
* Promote understanding and companionship between parent & child.
* Flexible programs ... planned by parents!

Group Activites
Weekend camp-outs at Camp Oakes (Big Bear) and Camp Fox (Catalina Island), Pinewood Derby, Iron Pony Rodeo, Swim Parties, Sporting Events, Games, Crafts, and much more!
Programs for the younger children are based upon an American Indian theme, so participants learn about
Indian lore, including stories, games and crafts. Programs for older children may retain or change the theme.
Most participants remain in a program for several years. It's too much fun!
