With a focus on developing the potential of kids, the LAKEWOOD FAMILY YMCA day camp program ensures your child will have a safe positive environment to play, learn and grow when school is out.  Our activities, which range from leadership development to sports and the arts, give your child the opportunity to become a confident kid today and a healthier, happier grown-up tomorrow!

Registration begins April 16th

A Day at Camp

Campers choose from a wide variety of activities that allow them to make lots of new friends, learn new skills, gain self-confidence, develop leadership skills, and create memories that will last a lifetime. 

A typical day of camp looks like this...

6:30-8:30am       *Extended Day Care

8:30-9:00am         Traditional Camp check-in (no admittance after 9:00am)

9:00-10:00am       Monday: All Camp Welcome Rally.

                             Tues, Wed & Thur: Reflections. Friday: All Camp Reward Rally

10:00-3:30pm       Camp Outings (see calendar for daily camp details) 

3:30-4:30pm         Camp Activities

4:00-6:30pm       *Extended Day Care 

*Extended Day Care rates: AM Only - $30/week, PM Only - $30/week, and Both AM & PM - $50/week.


Camp Options


Enjoy singing, arts and crafts, games and much more. This program is an introduction to summer camp and gives kids the chance to sample a little bit of everything. This camp will include one local trip per week. For youth entering K-1st grade. (1:6 Staff to Camper Ratio)

Weekly Rate:    Member Rate: $165 Non-Member Rate: $175


Campers will take the next step from Explorer Camp into a “big kid” camp where they will learn responsibility in a fun filled environment. This camp will include on trip day and one beach day in addition to their YMCA swim day and park days. For youth entering 2nd-3rd grade. (1:8 Staff to Camper Ratio) 

Weekly Rate:    Member Rate: $175 Non-Member Rate: $185


Campers will enjoy a variety of team building activities that will strengthen their social and leadership skills. Campers explore the beach, local parks and take one big field trip each week. For youth entering 4th-6th grade. (1:9 Staff to Camper Ratio) 

Weekly Rate:    Member Rate: $175 Non-Member Rate: $185


Campers will experience a summer to remember. This camp will spend two days at the beach, two days on a trip and one day swimming at the YMCA. Campers will learn to become a positive example to the younger camps as they embody the character values of the YMCA. For youth entering 7th-9th grade.

Weekly Rate:    Member Rate: $185 Non-Member Rate: $195

CIT's (Counselors in Training)

Enhance your leadership skills while planning and facilitating programs. CIT’s are given the tools they need to become quality counselors. This is a wonderful opportunity for any teen looking to gain experience working at a camp or with children. For youth entering 10th-11th grade.

Weekly Rate:    Member Rate: $120 Non-Member Rate: $125

Registration Fee: $35

Deposit: $40 - The deposit holds future weeks and will be applied towards your child's last week of camp.

*Weekly rates are for Traditional Camp Hours of 8:30am-4:30pm and does not include extended day care.

*We will be closed on July 4th. All camp rates will be reduced by $20 during that week.
