When you make a contribution to the YMCA Kids-to-Camp Campaign, you’ll be giving boys and girls in the area the chance to explore, learn, and build a positive foundation for their future. In this time of economic turbulence families are finding, now more than ever, that they simply cannot afford to give their children the chance to experience this great American tradition.  That’s why I’m hoping you’ll send a donation to the YMCA of Greater Long Beach, to help us send deserving kids to YMCA Camp this summer.

If ever there were a time to lend your support, it is now!  It only costs $400 to give a child the experience of a lifetime at YMCA Camp Oakes, however any amount, no matter how large or small, can help!  Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

At YMCA Camp Oakes, children have the opportunity to swim, go horseback riding, hike and backpack, gather around the campfire and share stories, and make lasting friendships. Most importantly, at YMCA Camp kids learn the YMCA values:

Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.

So when you support YMCA Camp, you are helping children become the strong, caring, and responsible citizens we want for our community, long after their week at camp is over.
