Forever mission-driven and committed to serving people of all ages, faiths, abilities, and incomes, the YMCA has demonstrated its unique ability to formulate initiatives that will strengthen families, foster the sound development of youth and teenagers, encourage and support healthy lifestyles for all people and especially children, and promote social and ethnic harmony.

Empowered by the pioneering spirit which characterizes the YMCA movement and the 124-year legacy of service, the YMCA has accepted the challenge to provide for the many and varied communities of Greater Long Beach, the necessary facilities and programs needed to nurture the spirit, energize the mind, and revitalize the body.
